School Bus Accident

Joseph Borst, 79, of 10 Beechwood Drive, who was driving a town-owned 1995 GMC school bus carrying two children, was backing out of a parking space in a Hawley School parking lot at about 2:47 pm April 9, as motorist Michele Buzzi, 39, of 38 Obtuse Road was driving a 2007 Honda Odyssey minivan carrying two child passengers there, police said.

The school bus continued backing up as the minivan approached it and then the bus backed into the minivan, police said. There were no injuries. Police said they took no enforcement action because the accident occurred in a parking lot.

Moving Violations

About 10 am April 25, police said they stopped motorist Kevin Oliver, 47, of Milford on Wasserman Way because Oliver’s vehicle displayed an expired vehicle registration sticker.

After investigating, police charged Oliver with displaying an expired vehicle registration sticker and with driving while under suspension. Police released Oliver on $100 bail for a May 9 court appearance.
