Just For Dogs, Just For Fun

To the Editor:

I am writing to ask the public to support the Doggie Fun Zone fundraiser at Cassio Pet Resort and Training Center. The funds raised will benefit Spay and Neuter Association of Newtown, Inc (SNAN) and Danbury Animal Welfare (DAWS). Last year $600 was raised with the money divided evenly between each nonprofits.

The Doggie Fun Zone Challenge Course is a timed event competition for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ranging from mini dachshunds to Great Danes. Entry fee is $12.

The event requires no prior experience. For $12, the dogs can run the course twice, once for practice and one for time. The dates are May 11–22, 10 am to dusk.
