National Day Of Prayer
National Day Of Prayer
To the Editor:
The National Day of Prayer event will take place on the evening of May 3 at 7:30 to 8:30 in the Alexandra Room, Edmond Town Hall. Our nation is becoming more and more divided for many differing reasons.
As One Nation Under God, we desperately need His help. I believe God honors the sincere hearts of His children, who will humble themselves, and seek His face. God is sovereign, nothing comes as a surprise to Him. Whether we face fluctuating economics, threats from abroad or unrest at home, our Heavenly Father is not caught unaware. With prayer we are able to tap into His wisdom, strength, protection and peace. He stands ready to respond to our needs when we ask for divine intervention in the affairs of men. If you are unable to attend the evening event, set aside time during your day to join with the hearts and prayers of others who put their hope and trust in Jesus Christ.
President Ronald Reagan once said, âIf we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under.â
God Bless America, land that we love.
