Stanley ‘Peter’ Urban

A Kind-Hearted

Stanley “Peter” Urban, Jr, 35, of Corning, Calif., previously of Newtown, died March 16, at Mercy Hospital in Redding, Calif., from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Danbury August 1, 1976, a son of Stanley P. Urban, Sr, and Linda S. Harper.

Peter attended St Rose of Lima School and Newtown High School. He earned his GED and was employed as a carpenter. Peter lived most of his life in Newtown and the New Haven area prior to moving to Corning a year ago.

He will be remembered as a loving son, father and friend. Peter was a person with a kind heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and hiking. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet him.

Peter is survived by his wife, Laura Urban, and his loving son, Thomas, of Old Saybrook. In addition to his parents, Stanley and Barbara Urban of Newtown, a sister, Barbie, and his brother Jason and his family, Melissa and Ellie, all of Newtown; and his mother, Linda S. Harper, survive him. He will also be missed by his grandmother Emma Patterson, many aunts and uncles, several great-aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins and friends, especially Jen Grisko.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Edward T. and Helen T. Urban, William and Alfreda Behari, and Martin Patterson and an uncle, Edward Urban, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown on April 14. Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery.
