Adopt A Cat Or Dog From The Animal Center

The following cats and dogs are among those available for adoption through the Animal Center:

ROCKY ROAD is a friendly, 6 month old, male German Shepherd mix for adoption. Animal Center officials transferred him into their adoption program when his time had run out at the shelter where he was staying. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines.

ROXY is a 6 month old Maine Coon mix. She hasn’t always known the kindness of strangers and is therefore cautious when meeting new friends. But she loves to play and gets more confident each passing day. In a quiet and loving home, this kitty will shine. Roxy is spayed and current on vaccines.

ROCKY is a friendly, affectionate, and purry gray tabby cat who enjoys snuggling and loves to roll over on the group. Rocky had once lived outside with a group of community cats, but he’s so friendly that Animal Center officials wanted to give him a chance to find a forever home.  Rocky is about 1 1/2 years old, neutered, and current on vaccines.

PEACHES is a friendly, affectionate 8-week-old kitten. She loves to play and gets along great with children. Peaches is spayed and current on vaccines.

ADIDAS & JORDAN are very friendly, Labrador Retreiver/German Shepherd mix dogs. They are six months old, neutered, current on vaccines and can be adopted separately.

AKIRA is a super-gentle and sweet Labrador retriever/shepherd mix who gets along great with people and other dogs. She is approximately a year and a half old and would love to find a forever home. Animal Center officials rescued Akira the day she was scheduled to be euthanized when the shelter she was staying at ran out of space. Akira is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines.

OLIVER was adopted in March, but he is back in The Animal Center’s foster program because his new family’s resident cat did not like him. Some call him “The Champ” for somehow surviving this winter outside as a declawed cat, but Animal Center officials just call him lovable Oliver. He had been living outside in an area where there are many community cats and Animal Center volunteers thought he probably belonged with that group. However, when they got him to the vet for neutering and vaccinates, they learned that he was declawed, which means that Oliver had a family at some point. Animal Center volunteers don’t know how this cat managed to survive this winter without the protection that claws provide, but it’s clear from the scars on his face that he had to fight for every morsel of food. Oliver is about 6 years old, neutered, and current on vaccines.

CANDY is a gentle and sweet 2 year old dwarf Maine Coon mix who recently underwent surgery to remove a lame front leg. She will be ready for adoption in early May. Candy is spayed and current on vaccines.
