Doris Grace Gardner

Doris Grace Gardner, 78, died April 19 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Va., following a brief illness. She has been a resident of Locust Grove, Va., for the past six years. She was a resident of Connecticut for 27 years, and she was a former elementary school teacher in Monroe.

Mrs Gardner leaves her devoted husband, Ralph R. Gardner, and three children, Cynthia Miller of Newtown, Claudia Remick of Lancaster, N.H., and Steven Miller of New York City. Her grandchildren include Jessica, Justin and Jacqueline Remick of Lancaster, N.H.

Memorial services were held April 22 at the Lake of the Woods Church with Senior Pastor Thomas Schafer officiating.
