Focusing On Common Eye Conditions At Masonicare
A free evening program for the community titled âOverview of Common Eye Conditionsâ will be held Thursday, May 6, at Masonicare at Newtown. Daniel S. Kessler, MD, will present the program at 5 pm along with a complimentary dinner.
The leading causes of vision impairment and blindness in the United States are primarily age-related eye diseases. The number of Americans with age-related eye disease is expected to double within the next three decades.
Dr Kessler is an ophthalmologist in private practice along with Dr Delia Manjoney in Bridgeport. He is on staff at St Vincentâs Hospital. A graduate of New York University School of Medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University, followed by a cornea fellowship at University of Colorado.
His practice is focused on comprehensive ophthalmology, with an emphasis on the treatment of dry eye and cataracts.
In his presentation, Dr Kessler will discuss the different types of common eye conditions, focusing particularly on dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He will discuss their symptoms, causes and treatment options.Â
