Gold 18, New Milford 8: Julia Wiberg, Emma Horne and Maddie Bridges hustled to each get 3 ground balls. The defense was anchored by Celia Gold, Chloe Amante, Quinn Karp, and Brittany Meisenheimer. The two goalies, Dori Farley and Nikki Zaccarro, combined for 10 saves. Nevan Gattey led the team in assists with 3. On the offense, goals were scored by Julia Wiberg, Charlotte Stenz, Bridget Walsh, Maddie Bridges, Brittany Miesenheimer, Lindsay Hoyt, Nikki Zaccaro, Liz Zambernardi, Dori Farley, and Quinn Karp.
Gold 7, New Fairfield Sixth Grade 5: In a very tough battle with the New Fairfield sixth-graders, the Junior Gold team won on the road. The day was highlighted by defense and hustle. Celia Gold was outstanding on defense, constantly shutting down talented New Fairfield attackers on fast breaks while Brittany Meisenheimer, Quinn Karp, and Maddie Bridges combined to get 12 turnovers. Bridget Walsh and Dori Farley were outstanding in the goal, combining for 6 saves. Madison Duffy and Julian Patelli had great games as well. The attack was led by Nikki Zaccaro, Brittany Meisenheimer, Lindsay Hoyt, and Bridget Walsh.
Blue 13, New Fairfield Fifth Grade 7: Olivia Holman made 7 saves in the victory. Jillian DiMartino and Hannah Bellagamba scooped 3 ground balls each on defense. Goals were scored by Lauren Zimmerman, Alana OâDonnell, Meghan Doyle, Brianna Sclafani, Claudia Morris, and Casey Harkins to secure the victory.

Senior Girls
Gold 13, Southbury 8A 2: Amanda Crowell protected the net for the first time in her career and helped the Senior Gold team win its second game. While defensive teammates Tess Baldino, Cassie Ekstrom, Olivia Korth, and Ashley Headen stopped Southburyâs offense, Newtownâs offense was strong with goals from Mary Jo Rossi, Jaclyn Daily, Meaghan Brophy, Anna Northrop, Carley Ferris, and Emily Maher. Kristie VosWinkel was a superb midfield teammate with four assists.
Gold 13, New Milford 0: Goals were scored by Meaghan Brophy, Anna Northrop, Emily Maher, Maddie Fletcher, Carley Ferris, Kristie VosWinkel, and Jaclyn Daily. The defensive work of Clare Hebert, Tess Baldino, and Ashley Headen, along with the efforts of goalie Olivia Korth, earned the shutout. Madeline Fletcher led the attack with 2 goals, 2 assists and 6 ground balls.
Gold 13, New Fairfield 8: Amanda Crowell and Olivia Korth protected the net. Teamwork proved successful as 7 players scored and 8 of the 13 goals were set up by assists. Maddie Fletcher and Emily Maher continually transitioned the ball up the field to scorer Clare Hebert and Carly Sullivan, who were stellar on attack. Kelly OâConnor and Ashley Headen anchored the defense, while Olivia Ingham, Anna Northrop, Meaghan Brophy and Junior guest player Nikki Zaccaro ran the midfield.
Blue 10, Brookfield 7: Patricia Sullivan and Alexis Samuels both put in stellar efforts in goal. Noelle Benson, Julia Diluoffo, Kat Jennings, and Haley Dunn all scored goals.Â
Blue 10, Danbury 8: Kat Jennings, Haley Dunn, and Trish Sullivan each had two goals. Marybeth Semosky played an excellent midfield, grabbing control off most the draws, while Emily Campbell, Anna Whitlock, and Jennings picked up 5 ground balls each. Alexis Samuels came up with great saves in goal.
