Workshop Focuses On Grief Associated With Mother’s Day

DANBURY— For some people when their mother has died, Mother’s Day can be a very lonely time. To help adults experiencing the loss of their mother, Healing Hearts will offer the workshop “Mother’s Day When Your Mother Has Died” on May 5, from 5 to 6:30 pm.

The workshop is offered at no cost and will take place at the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families at 73 Stadley Rough Road. Participants will find insight and learn strategies to cope during Mother’s Day.

The workshop facilitator is Sherry Renne, MSW, a facilitator at the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families. She earned a master’s in social work from Fordham University and has experience providing trauma-focused treatment for individuals and families.

The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, a program of Regional Hospice, offers numerous support groups, workshops, and programs to the public free of cost throughout the year. For more information or to participate in the upcoming workshop, call Healing Hearts at 203-792-4422.
