A line of type was inadvertently dropped from a quotation in a letter to the editor by Stan Rajczewski, Jr, entitled “Obama Disasters.”  The quotation attributed to conservative columnist George F. Will, should have read: “The US National Snow and Ice Data Center reported that from January to the middle of February this year, a defective performance by satellite monitors that measure sea ice caused an underestimation of the extent of the arctic ice by 193,000 square miles, approximately the size of the State of California. A report out of Australia stated that sea ice is increasing in Antarctica.”

Due to incorrect information submitted by the Newtown Republican Town Committee, a story that appeared in the April 24 edition incorrectly reported the RTC would be endorsing a Board of Selectman candidate in executive (closed) session during a special meeting April 29. The vote on the candidate was held in an open meeting.
