On Monday, May 5, Borough of Newtown residents are invited to vote for elected officials. Voting will take place from 9 am-8 pm at the Registrar’s Office in the Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street. The elections will seek to fill several positions, including warden, burgesses, clerk, treasurer, and more.

The nominations are as follows: Warden, Joseph Maher; Burgesses, Christopher Gardner, Sarah Phillips, and Peter Schwarz; Clerk, Ann Scaia; Treasurer, Ann Scaia; Tax Collector, Jodie Enriquez; Board of Assessment Appeals, John Madzula; Zoning Commission Members, Douglas McDonald, Michael Mandarano; Zoning Board of Appeals, John Madzula, John Fletcher.

Borough residents should also be reminded that the Borough of Newtown budget meeting and vote will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 7:30 pm in the gym of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.
