Mr and Mrs Matthew Tackman

Rebecca Louise McDonald and Matthew Wall Tackman were married on October 28, 2006, at St Pius X Catholic Church in Fairfield. Father Robert Kinnally performed the marriage ceremony.

A reception followed at The Waterview in Monroe.

The bride, who was given into marriage by her parents, is the daughter of Robert and Diane McDonald of Newtown. For her wedding day she wore a gown by Casablanca of white silky satin with silver thread, accent beads and crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Matukonis of Glen Burnie, Md. Bridesmaids were Erin McDonald of Washington, D.C., Kathryn McDonald of Newtown, and Katie Tackman of Fairfield. The attendants wore wine-colored satin strapless dresses and carried hand-tied bouquets of white, mauve, and burgundy roses.

The groom is the son of Robert and Mary Tackman of Fairfield.

His best man was Peter Shanazu of Fairfield. Ushers were Gerard Gasparino of Fairfield, Brian Bamburak of Baltimore, Md., and James Caparosa of Norwalk.

Mrs Tackman is a graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park. She is a senior sales associate at Conair Corporation.

Mr Tackman is also a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park. He is a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple have returned to their home in Norwalk.
