Jean M. Goodwin, 69, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Goodwin, Sr, died April 28. Mrs Goodwin was born in Bridgeport on October 23, 1936, to Andrew and Mildred Morgan Kopchak and was a Milford resident for 26 years.

Survivors include five brothers, Andrew Kopchak of Newtown and Thomas, Alan, Robert, and Michael Kopchak, all of Milford; six sisters, Rita Gleason of Stratford, Dorothy Zargo and Marilyn Dennis, both of North Branford, Elaine Haslob of Monroe, and Kathy Kopchak and Peggy Kopchak, both of Milford; three sons, Michael J. Goodwin, Jr, Dennis B. Goodwin, and Daniel J. Goodwin, all of Milford; two daughters, Patricia Marr and her husband, David, of North Carolina and Maureen Licitra and her husband, Jeffrey, of Milford; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Goodwin was predeceased by a sister, Anna Sauer.

She was retired from St Vincent’s Medical Center where she was employed for 22 years in the accounting office.

Funeral services were held May 1 in St Mary’s Church, Milford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in St Mary’s Cemetery. 

Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, was in charge of arrangements.
