Live Long, And Enjoy It

RIDGEFIELD — Elizabeth DiMeo, a nutritionist at Canyon Ranch Resort and Spa, held an audience spellbound a few months ago when she spoke at The Ridgefield Playhouse. She admonished — with a good bit of humor — each person to take a good look at their pantry, and keep only those foods that are functional for optimal health.

Now she is returning to The Playhouse just in time for Older Persons Month on Sunday, May 21, at 4 pm, with a new program: “How to Live to 100 and Not Regret It.” Her presentation is part of the Danbury Hospital Living Well Series.

The talk is for everyone; that is, for all who want to live younger longer. Ms DiMeo is a sharp diagnostician whose primary area of focus is educating everyone so that anyone can experience optimal health and wellness through whole foods, exercise, and mindful eating.

“It’s easy,” she says. “Healthful ways can be incorporated into any lifestyle.”

Elizabeth DiMeo, MS, CNS, LDN, arrived at Canyon Ranch with a wealth of education, knowledge, and expertise. She holds a MS in human nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, is board certified by the American College of Nutrition, is an AFFA Certified Personal Trainer and a former chef. In short, she knows how to keep bodies in optimal condition through proper nourishment.

Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by contacting the box office at 203-438-5795. The Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
