Stony Brook (Hurricanes) 6, Sallyport Holdings (Jankees) â Michael Lengel, Connor Blanc, Robby Daigle, Will Arndt and Brandon Ziman combined for a nine-hit, three-run win. Chris Tenney, Michael Lengel, and Scott Keating collected two hits apiece to fuel the offensive attack. Dominick Fedak smashed a two-run homer while Colin Morris contributed to the offense with three hits in the loss for the Jankees.
Emmett & Glander (Yellowjackets) 6, Enterprise Electric (The Shock) 5 â Sean Ross drove in three runs with a home run and Chris Haylon pitched two terrific innings and had a multiple hit game to lead the Yellowjackets. Timmy Wilder drove in the winning run with a key hit in the bottom of the sixth. Austin Bonadio pitched two scoreless innings and contributed two hits, scoring two runs for The Shock. Sean Burson made two exceptional plays on defense and had two hits as well. Andrew Fischer and Greg Frattaroli added a hit.
Newtown Savings Bank (Money) 11, Union Savings Bank (Orange Crush) 6 â The Money were led by two solid innings of pitching by Johnny Kerins and Travis LeBlanc. Ryan Tita and Christian Sayegh also contributed by pitching an inning each. Timely hits by Ian Kirner and Jack Kneisel led the Money to the win. Jack McManus pitched well for the Crush as Curtis Droniak clobbered a three-run homer over the left center field fence. Ryan Powers and Michael Greenwood added defensive gems.

BASE Technologies 7, PC Metals 1 â Austin Ekstrom went 3-for-3, including a double and two RBIs, to lead BASE to the win. Mike Newman and Joe Davis had two hits each and Michael Koch smacked a double and knocked in two runs. Koch, David Gerics and Pat Sullivan put in solid performances on the pitching mound. For PC Metals, Riley Wurtz stroked two hits and made fine defensive plays at shortstop. Michael Allwein also hit well and Jon Hull had a good game on the mound.
PC Metals 13, Ryder Financial 3 â Gary Braun whacked three hits and Riley Wurtz two to lead the offensive attack for PC Metals. Wurtz and Jon Hull combined to pitch three shutout innings. Pat Thornberg played a flawless first base and Joey Fellin and Chris Otero made nice catches. For Ryder Financial, Andrew Kelley and Mike Scharfenberg paced the offense. Stephen Conway and Ryan Daignault pitched well.
Lee J. Demers Builder 4, MasterCard International 2 â Stefan Hennessey doubled in two runs in the last inning to lift Lee J. Demers to the win. Dean Demers had a pair of hits, Ben Stoller had a key single and Chad Magoulas homered on the first pitch of the game. For MasterCard, pitchers Dan Gustafson, Colton Sposta and Poeltl combined to hold the Explosives scoreless in four different innings. Sposta struck out five batters during his two innings of work.
Westport Worldwide 6, Lee J. Demers Builder 0 â Kevin LeBlanc, Richie Sandler and Reid Schmidt combined on a two-hitter to shut down the Demers at Liberty Field. LeBlanc picked up the win and Schmidt struck out three in two innings to record the save. Schmidt also cracked a triple to deep right field and scored the gameâs first run in the first inning. Second baseman Alex Roche turned a nifty double play in the final inning. Mike Lobosco knocked in a run with an infield single. For Demers, Stefan Hennessey and Kaleb Rowe banged out hits and Kyle Wilcox pitched well, striking out the side in the fifth inning.
Ryder Financial 9, MasterCard International 5 â Andrew Kelley belted a home run and drove in three runs to cap a perfect 3-for-3 day and lead Ryder Financial to the win. Sean Dardine singled and doubled while Nick Heron pitched two scoreless innings. For MasterCard, Dan Gustafson and Dan Poeltl pitched well with Poeltl clubbing a double and Nick Gerbo singling and scoring a run.

Associated Refuse 11, BW Real Estate 7 â Colton Smith, Brandon Powell and Will Swain had a combined nine hits to lead Associated Refuse to a victory in their season opener. Smith pitched two no-hit innings while John Bashak chipped in with the hit of the day with a bases clearing triple to right field. Jeffrey Peterson pitched well in the last inning. For BW Retail, Marcus Elken led the team with two doubles while Chase Wurtz pitched two solid innings.

Turner Construction 8, Hocon Gas 0 â Tim Mammen stroked three hits and scored twice and Kimberly Brello clubbed two hits and drove in two runs to lead Turner to the win. The arms of Jake Courchene-Roy, Matt Perun and Glen Damota combined to shut down the Hocon offense.
