UPDATE (Wednesday, May 21, 2025): Ahead of inclement weather expected tomorrow night, organizers of Celebration of Kind Works have announced the postponement of the May 22 fundraiser to Thursday, May 29. Same location, caterer and band. Refunds are available for those who cannot attend the new date. The event's silent auction link is open, and has also been added below.

Kind Works will present “Planting Seeds of Kindness,” its annual fundraising event on Thursday, May 22, 6-9 pm, at Reverie Brewing Company, 57-B Church Hill Road.

Tickets are $85 adults, with age 20 and under free when accompanied by an adult.

Tickets include two drinks and dinner.

Guests will experience an evening of joy and community spirit while contributing to a great cause. Back by popular demand, the event’s catering will be provided by FLIK Independent School Dining and will feature a brick oven pizza food truck.

Each guest will receive two complimentary beverages from Reverie’s extensive craft beer selection. Soft drinks and water will also be available free of charge.

Live music will be performed by Oddfellas of Stratford, while guests engage in family-friendly games and activities including the dual hoop zone donated by Super Fun Inflatables.

A highlight of the evening will be the live and silent auctions, featuring exceptional local art and other gifts and services. Exclusive mosaic benches and stepping stones, designed and made by dedicated volunteers, will be among the auction items only available at the Celebration of Kind Works.

The silent auction offering more than 75 items has opened. Bidding can be done here. Bidding closes Thursday, May 29.

A special pop-up shop will also be available for Kind Works shopping, featuring limited edition necklaces also exclusive to the Celebration of Kind Works.

Kindness Awards will also be presented to community champions who have made significant contributions.

Each ticket purchased helps support the initiatives of Kind Works, a Bethel-based nonprofit organization founded and sustained by volunteers who believe in the transformative power of kindness.

The organization was created to continue the work that Ben’s Bells CT volunteers — including many Newtown residents — did over nearly 12 years before its studio closed in August 2024. Kind Works is founded on the belief that fostering a culture in which kindness is not just an act but a way of life leaves a lasting impact on generations to come. Kind Works offers a volunteer-operated art studio, educational programs and workshops for community groups and corporations, and offers the talents of its volunteers in the creation of public murals.
