Marita C.        Marchetti

Marita (Cahill) Marchetti, 67, of 8 Sycamore Road, Southington, formerly of Danbury, died May 5 at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, after a short illness.

She is survived by a son, David, and his wife, Lynn, and a sister, Jean Fadus, all of Newtown.

Mrs Marchetti was born in Danbury on May 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose Cahill. She attended schools in Danbury. Mrs Marchetti had been a homemaker and resident of Southington for the past ten years.

Besides her husband of 39 years, she leaves another son, Joseph of Southington, and several nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews and cousins. Mrs Marchetti was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor Howell.

Services were private and at the convenience of the family.

The Della Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington, was in charge of the arrangements. Contributions in her memory may be made to the ASPCA chapter of one’s choice.
