Occupation: I am a full time mom, but previously I was a pediatric occupational therapist. I attended upstate New York schools and earned my degree in occupational therapy at the State University at Buffalo.

How Long in Newtown: I have lived in Newtown for a year. Previously, I lived in Bethel for six years and in Brookfield before that.

Family: My husband, Ron, and I have been married for seven years. We have three daughters, Haley, 6, who attends Head O’ Meadow School; Mary Kate, 3; and Laura, 2.

Hobbies: I am certified in scuba diving, and I love photography, especially taking pictures of our girls. I am involved with two charitable organizations. I am a wish granter for Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is holding an auction May 18 at the Elks Lodge in Danbury from 7 to 8 pm. My biggest passion is for the organization All God’s Children, which is building a hospital and a home for orphans in Zimbabwe, because of the AIDS epidemic. They need everything.

Favorite Books and Authors: I like to read, especially any of Oprah’s books.

Favorite TV Show: Law and Order

Organizations: I am a member of Newtown Christian Church, and volunteer at Head O’Meadow School.

Most Vivid Memory of Newtown: My first memory of Newtown is when I first moved to the area 11 or 12 years ago, and my realtor showed me around. I was single and couldn’t afford to live here, but I thought that if I could live anywhere, it would be Newtown. I love the flagpole, and the feeling of community when you drive into town. You can see Newtown’s history with all the old houses on Main Street, and get the feeling of an old town or village.

Favorite Vacation Spot: We have a cottage on a lake in Pennsylvania. We also recently won a trip to Nevis through Ron’s company.

Personal Philosophy: To appreciate all that we have, to live with integrity, and to teach our girls to do the same.
