Shamanism, Dreams &
Nature Spirits
WASHINGTON â The Institute for American Indian Studies will present a course on âShamanism, Dreams, and Nature Spiritsâ led by E. Barrie Kavasch, a shamanic practitioner and IAIS research associate, on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, at the museum.
Participants will be encouraged to create a small circle of friends eager to explore the basic principles of journeywork. They will learn to journey into non-ordinary realities within a safe environment and also learn to bless and secure sacred space and to call in the spirits.
Ms Kavasch will teach how to connect with a personal power animal, with teachers, and nature spirits. She will also teach unique aspects of herbalism and healing following this unique and age-old pathway to access information and guidance.
Participants must pre-register before May 17 by calling 860-868-0518, extension 3. The course will meet from 10 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday and then noon to 4:30 pm on Sunday. To reserve space or for fee information, call the museum. IAIS is at 38 Curtis Road in Washington.
