Documentary Will Focus On Waterbury’s

Neighborhoods And Their History

WATERBURY — Mattatuck Museum Arts & History Center will host Philip Benevento for a viewing of the video A History of Waterbury’s Neighborhoods, and discussion on Sunday, May 21, from 2 to 4 pm.

Mr Benevento is the City of Waterbury historian and president of Silas Bronson Library’s Board of Agents. He wrote the script for the 20-minute video, which uses the museum’s oral histories and photographs collected from Waterbury to tell the story of 20th Century life in the city’s close-knit neighborhoods.

The audience will be invited to comment on the video and share their own stories of the history of Waterbury’s neighborhoods following the screening.
