Free Health & Wellness Fair

Lockwood Lodge at Ashlar of Newtown and the Brookfield office of Connecticut VNA have teamed up once again to host a comprehensive health and wellness fair for the community. 

The 4th Annual Community Health Fair, which will be held on Tuesday, May 16, from 9 am to noon, will feature a variety of health and wellness exhibits and healthcare professionals and specialists who deal with a wide range of senior issues. They will provide educational information and timely tips for adults who want to maintain their optimal health and well being.

Complimentary health screenings, including posture and blood pressure screenings, will be available throughout the morning.  There will also be free exams for oral cancer detection, the latest nutritional information for diabetics, information on low vision and how to get help, relaxing chair massages, and much more.

Special guest exhibitors include Danbury Hospital, the Newtown Department of Health, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, a professional organizer to provide tips on downsizing and reducing clutter, a naturopathic physician to discuss holistic medicine, an elder law attorney, a financial expert, Newtown Senior Center, TRIAD, and more.

In addition to the informational exhibits and demonstrations, a free “Lunch-to-Go,” compliments of My Place Restaurant, will be available to the first 200 attendees.
