Jackie Darcy Edmonds, 64, of Gaylordsville died May 6 in Danbury. She was born November 20, 1949, in Beacon, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Charles and Julia “Bonnie” (Connors) Darcy.

Besides her husband Nelson, her sister Eileen Blackman of Newtown; her son Alan Edmonds of Gardner, Kan.; her daughter Katie Ducey of Gaylordsville; her mother-in-law Alma Edmonds of Gaylordsville; her four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Ms Edmonds. Her daughter Tracey Faith Sedore, her brother Michael Darcy, and sister Doris Blackman predeceased her.

Ms Edmonds was a nurse and had worked at Mediplex in Danbury, Lutheran Home in Southbury, and most recently in The Kent Health Care Facility in Kent.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at both New Milford Hospital and Danbury Hospital for their care and professionalism.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, May 13, at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, at 11 am. Internment will follow in Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville. Calling hours will take place Monday, May 12, from 5 to 8 pm, at the funeral home.
