Catherine Toth

Catherine (Moffett) Toth, 83, of Toddy Hill Road, Newtown, beloved wife of the late Gaza S. Toth, died May 11 at Ashlar of Newtown.

She was born in Bridgeport on May 29, 1917, daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Moffett. Mrs Toth was a longtime resident of Milford. She was a central supply clerk at Milford Hospital for 15 years before her retirement in 1979. Mrs Toth was an active member of Christ the Redeemer Church, Milford.

She is survived by five daughters, Dorothy A. Clark of Milford, Louise M. Hart of West Haven, Donna S. Wojciechowski of Cheshire, Lorraine Bolton and Nancy Shimabuku, both of Spokane, Wash.; three sons, Robert G. Toth and Raymond G. Toth, both of Milford, and Phillip S. Toth of Phoenix; three brothers, Alfred, George and Joseph Moffett, all of Connecticut; 23 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Clyde L. Toth.

Services and committal were private and in the care of the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford.
