Robert S.  Marusa

Robert Stephen Marusa, 53, of Middletown, formerly of Fairfield, died suddenly on May 12 in his home.

He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Katherine Marusa of Newtown.

Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Danis) Marusa. Bob grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1965. He was the former owner of Village Pharmacy in Fairfield. He moved to Middletown 15 years ago, where he was working as a retail store manager.

Survivors include his children, Kenneth and Sheri Marusa, both of Vermont; two other brothers and their spouses, John and Debora Marusa of Trumbull, and Richard and Judith Marusa of Shelton; several nieces and nephews; and his godparents, Emery and Dorothy Csehak of Bridgeport.

A prayer service was held May 16 with Father Victor Martin officiating. A private burial service took place in St Michael Cemetery.

The Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield, was in charge of arrangements.
