Workshop On Essentials

Of Breastfeeding

FARMINGTON — Jack Newman, MD, FRCPC, will conduct a workshop session entitled “The Essentials of Breastfeeding; Everything you wanted to know about breastfeeding but were afraid to ask,” on Thursday, May 22, from 10:30 am to noon at the Farmington Marriott.

Dr Gerald Calnen, a pediatrician and ProHealth physician, and Marsha Walker, RN, IBCLC, will join Dr Newman. This 11/2  hour session is designed for physicians and health care professionals as well as mothers, families, and anyone interested in learning more about lactation.

The workshop is designed to provide a breakout opportunity for physicians and health care workers to meet with Dr Newman and discuss overall management of the breastfeeding family. Mothers and families will have an opportunity to meet with Marsha Walker and ProHealth physician lactation consultants to discuss practical and specific advice on the art of breastfeeding.
