Emma K. Johnson

Emma K. Johnson, 92, wife of the late Ellis Johnson, formerly of North Branch Road, Newtown, died May 14 in Ashlar of Newtown.

She was born in Bridgeport, February 20, 1909, daughter of the late Joseph and Katarin (Durec) Wasco. Mrs Johnson spent most of her life in the Bridgeport area. She was formerly employed as a payroll clerk for the American District Telegraph Company.

She is survived by two grandsons, Jonathan Praskac of Towson, Md., and Christopher Praskac of Swarthmore, Penn.; and a son-in-law, John Praskac of Swarthmore, Penn. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol A. Praskac.

Funeral services were held May 17 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
