The Money Not Spent
The Money Not Spent
To the Editor:
While we all celebrate that the high school expansion project rebid came in under budget by $1.1 million, letâs not forget that some town officials asked us to approve more than $6 million additional. This is even more poignant since many do not fully agree with the enrollment projections.
Thanks to all who said No, and for that we have saved ourselves what otherwise would be wasted tax dollars. My only regret now is the selectmen appropriated the extra $1.1 million that we saved. Iâll bet it all gets spent! Keep that in mind whenever you give your money to the government to spend.
