Senior Boys A
New Canaan 15, Newtown 5 â Erich Dinnan, Zack DâAgostino, Kyle Shevlin, Myles Rich and Kevin Regan all scored to lead Newtown. Garrett OâConnor, Travis Speer, Derrick Flynn and Greg Hill provided assists. Eric Dreher and Tom Hutchinson combined for 10 ground balls. Defensively Alex Divico and Ryan Morrissey played well for Newtown. Goaltender Tyler Bigham recorded 16 saves. Â
Brookfield 14, Newtown 8 â Erich Dinnan scored three goals, Zack DâAgostino scored two and Kyle Shevlin, Tom Hutchinson and Myles Rich added one each to lead Newtown. DâAgostino, Ned Emerson, Bob Attanasio, Max Beitel and Greg Hill had assists. Midfielders, Kevin Regan, Zack Varga and Eric Dreher combined for 14 ground balls.
Cheshire 5, Newtown 1 â Erich Dinnan scored the lone Newtown goal on an assist from Garrett OâConnor. Brian Stickles, Derrick Flynn and Ryan Morrissey combined for 12 ground balls while the defensive trio of Scott Regnery, Alex Divico and Nick Maurer contained the potent Cheshire attack throughout the day. Goaltender Tyler Bigham had another outstanding day in the cage with 14 saves.
Senior Boys B
Renegades 2, New Canaan 2 â With the game going into double overtime, Will Mahoney and Ryan Manning scored the two goals that earned a tie for Newtown. Mahoney also had an assist and led the team with nine ground balls. Seth Anderson, Ryan Manning, and PJ Cochrane also had over four ground balls each. Joe Banno did a great job of only allowing two goals with 38 shots on goal against him.
Renegades 8, Brookfield 1 â Jeff Davis scored two goals and Seth Anderson, Ryan Golankiewicz, Will Mahoney, Blake Bell, Mike Kesnick and Ryan Manning all scored a goal each. Kesnick also had two assists. Golankiewicz had nine ground balls out of the 56 the team garnered. Joe Bowen and Bill Romaniello did a good job at defense.
Danbury 9, Renegades 4 â Scott Perry, Mike Kesnick, Will Mahoney and Blake Bell each contributed one goal. Kesnick and Perry each also had one assist. Joe Banno had 8 ground balls and 12 saves as goalie.
Renegades 13, Southbury 1 â PJ Cochrane scored three goals while Mike Kesnick, Will Mahoney, Blake Bell contributed two goals each to lead the Renegades. Bobby Davenport, Conor McManus, Jeff Davis and Alex Glasrud each had a goal. Drew Gleacher led the team with nine ground balls.
Senior Boys C
Newtown 6, Ridgefield 4 â Danny Lawrence, Hank Allen, Michael Kesnick, Scott Perry (2) and Brendan Martin scored to lead Newtown. Nikko Confortini did an awesome job on the faceoffs and goalie Matt Schaniel made one unbelievable save after another to lift Newtown to the win.
Newtown 4, Stratford 3 â Michael Kesnick, Scott Perry and Brett Mauro (2) scored the goals that lifted Newtown to the win. Brandan Martin had an assist. Cody Cullens played awesome on attack and Ryan Hudock did a great job hustling on offense. Travis Benedict, Derek Calderara and Pat Dunseith did an outstanding job anchoring the defense.
Westport 12, Newtown 7 â Brendan Martin (2), Michael Kesnick (2), Hank Allen, Scott Perry and Bobby Schwarz scored to lead Newtown. Travis Benedict and Brandon Martin had assists. Peter Omalyev had a super game in goal as Collin Babbage anchored the midfield. Geno Villafano and Matthew Schaniel played awesome defense.
Senior Girls Blue

Newtown 10, Redding 3 â Moira Collier, Nicky Rua-Latte and Rachel Maley scored two goals apiece to power Newtown. Abby Radziminski, Erin Ruddock, Erica Vacaro and Libby Feltch also scored. Hannah Tenenbaum and Christine Ercole accounted for seven ground balls while Lauren Clark, Nicole Dankowski, Emily Oliver, Mandy Nostrand and Jen Greenwood sparked the defense.

Hawks 9, Ridgefield 5 â Jaimie Bowers scored three goals and Andrew Hyland added two more with an assist to lead the Hawks to a win over Ridgefield. Ryan Murphy scored two goals while Harrison Gillis and Tyler Reszoly scored solo goals. Jake Woolf made 18 saves in goal and started several fast breaks that led to goals with terrific clearing passes. Geraint Davies, C.J. Spath, Chris Gregory, and Timmy Arnone anchored the tight defensive unit with Brian Cantore, Danny Greenwood, and Mike Locorotondo combining to grab 17 ground balls.
Boys 5th/6th
Eli 3, Newtown 2 (OT) â Mack Fuller and Tom Gilbert scored the goals for Newtown. Tyler Davenport and Judd Baggett had five groundballs each and goaltender Brandon Body made nine saves. Nicholas Landfair and Dylan Huebner had assists.
Newtown 6, Pomperaug 2 â Mack Fuller scored three goals and Nicholas Landfair added two to lead Newtown to the win. Mike Hadgraft had a goal while Judd Baggett, Fuller and Landfair had assists. Andrew Golankiewicz scooped 13 groundballs. Dylan Kelleher, Timo Roehrs, C.J. Donahue and Ben Mahony played well.
