Veterans’ Aid & Attendance Benefit Workshop

The Veteran’s Administration Aid and Attendance benefit offers eligible veterans or their surviving spouses a significant monthly pension, ranging from $998 to $1,842 per month tax-free.  This benefit can be used to help pay for the cost of assisted living or home care.

To be eligible, veterans must have served 90 consecutive days or more with at least one day during a wartime period (World War II, Korea, etc) and meet a few medical and financial eligibility criteria.

The Homesteads at Newtown will host a free “Veterans’ Aid & Attendance Benefit” workshop, open to the public, Wednesday, May 21, at 6:30 pm. The workshop will review the eligibility criteria and discussing how families (even in case of higher net worth) have become eligible for this benefit.

Space is limited so reservations are requested; call 203-929-1020. A light supper will be served.

The Homesteads is at 166 Mt Pleasant Road/Route 6.
