SATURDAY, MAY 26 – The Millbrook Hunt Trail Ride will be held Saturday, May 26, at the showgrounds on Fraleigh Hill Road in Millbrook. There will be First Flight, Optional Jumping and Hilltopper groups – which all start at 10 am. Gourmet buffet lunch will be held at 12:30 pm. Fees are $40 for adults and $15 for juniors under 18. SATURDAY, JUNE 2 – The Golden’s Bridge Hounds will be holding a Spring Ride and Luncheon on Saturday, June 2, at 9:30 am, at the Race Track on Baxter Road in North Salem, New York. Luncheon will be at 12 noon at Stony Creek Farm on Baxter Road. There will be jumping and non-jumping rides (hard hats required) and fees (which include lunch) are $25 for adults and $15 for juniors 14 and under. Call 1-914-669-5700 for further information.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 26 – The Old Chatham Hunt Club will hold a pre-season Hunter Pace on Sunday, August 26, from 9 am to 1 pm, at Highland Farm on Highland Road in Old Chatham, New York. There will be a beautiful eight-mile course with clearly-marked arrows and flags, more than 50 varies cross country fences, and go-arounds. Teams of two or three riders are welcome (riding helmets are required and informal attire is okay). Current Coggins test is also required. Entrance fee ($60 for adults and $25 for junior riders 17 and under) includes lunch. Ribbons will be award. Call Susan Smith at 1-518-733-9476 for further information.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3 – Brushy Hill Farm will host its first horse show of the summer series on Sunday, June 3, in Southbury. The show will include divisions for beginners, equitation, hunters, pleasure and adults. In the event of rain, show will be held indoors. Call 262-6466 or 426-6723 for further information.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3 – The Westfield Riding Club will have its annual Open Horse Show on Sunday, June 3, beginning at 8:30 am, at the club grounds on Fowler Road in Westfield, Massachusetts. Spectators are free. There will be seven championship divisions. For entry forms, call Deb Toomey at 1-413-623-6682.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3 – The 15th annual Bethany Horse Show will be held, starting at 8 am, at the Old Bethany Irport on Route 63. Sponsored by the Bethany Lions Club and the Sleeping Giant Pony Club, there will be four rings operating simultaneously with one ring just for miniature horses. The Exmoor Pony will also make its first appearance at local horses shows. Admission is $3, which children under 10 getting in for free. For additional information, call 272-0142.

THURSDAY, JUNE 7 through SUNDAY, JUNE 10: The Shallowbrook Charity Hunter Jumper Horse Show will be held Thursday, June 7, through Sunday, June 10, at the Shallowbrook Equestrian Center in Somers. It is an ASHA-sanctioned ‘A’ show. Prize money totals $20,000, including the $6,000 5/A Baker Blankets Jumper Classic. Call 270-8800 for events and prize information.

SATURDAY, JUNE 9 – The Falls Village Benefit Horse Show will be held Saturday, June 9, in Falls Village. There will be classes in Pleasure, Evergreen Hunter, Low Hunter, Children’s Hunter, Versatile Horse & Rider, Open Equitation, Local Hunter & Open Hunter, and Lead Line. The event will benet the FFA and Falls Village Ambulance. Call 1-860-824-5045 for further information.

SATURDAY, JUNE 16 – The NBLA Spring into Summer Hunter Pace will be held Saturday, June 16, from 8 am to 12 noon, at the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard facility on the grounds of Fairfield Hills. It will feature a conditioning course with trails and fields. All fences with go-arounds. Teams may have two or three riders. Coggins and Rabies certificates must accompany entries. Ribbons awarded in Hunt, Pleasure and Western divisions. Food concession and water will be available. Entry Fee is $35 for a non-NBLA member and $25 for an NBLA or GHG member. SATURDAY, JUNE 9 - The Spay & Neuter Association of Newown will hold a Fair on Saturday, June 9, at the Newtown Middle School. There will be a tag sale, bake sale, face painting, balloons, clowns, a Chinese auction (raffle), crafts, and refreshments such as hot dogs, popcorn, juice and more. Call SNAN at 426-2066 if you are a vendor or have a tag sale or bake sale item to donate.
