Girls U16

Hurricanes 2, Southbury 1 – Haley Keane scored one goal and assisted on another to lead the Hurricanes to the win. Kelley Sullivan added a goal and Sarah Shannon had an assist. Emily Kluga and Heather Johnson combined for the win in goal with support from Sweeper Meghan Barbour.

Girls U13

Roadrunners 4, Terryville 1 – KellyAnne Brophy scored two goals while Kaitlin Brophy and Megan Gonzalez scored one apiece to lead the ‘Runners to the win. Casey Rutter was outstanding in goal as Jill Jagoe, Emma Kingsley and Sara Murtha did a great job controlling the ball.

Boys U13

Strikers 5, Southbury 2 (State Cup) – Daniel Lynch scored two goals and Kyle Moore, Rockwell Anyoha and Michael Carrafiello added one apiece to lead the Strikers into the next round of the State Cup. Assists were provided by Daniel Hufziger and Moore. Tony Vacaro anchored the defense. Dakota Violetes and Michael Renz played well.

Strikers 5, Berkshire United 1 – Kyle Moore scored four goals and Daniel Lynch added one as the Strikers pounded Berkshire. Lynch provided an assist. Ryan Pasko kept the pressure on while Michael Gould and Alex Miller were strong on defense. Aaron Nezvesky and Russell Morgan played well. Kyle Wildman played well in the net.

Boys U12

Wallingford 1, Force 0 (State Cup) – Evan Garrett, Chris McGowan and Joe van Veen lead the offense for the Force while Greg Campbell, Trevor Carey and Jimmy Mooney anchored the defense. Justin Brophy played very well in goal.

Force 5, Torrington 1 – Sean Burson, Travis LeBlanc, Peter Ovendorf, Austin Puleri and John Imbimbo each scored a goal to lift the Newtown Force to a win over Torrington. Francis Afriyie and Josh Gilbert played very well on defense while Chad Cullens did a great job in goal.

Force 5, Watertown 0 – John Imbimbo and Travis LeBlanc scored two goals apiece while Justin Brophy added one to lift the Newtown Force over Watertown. Evan Garrett, Thomas Healy, and Chris McGowan played great games in the mid-field while Francis Afriyie and Greg Campbell were great on defense.

Girls U11

Flash 5, Old Greenwich 0 (CT Cup) – Brittany Tolla and Tressa Scott scored two goals apiece to lead the Flash past Old Greenwich. Christina Gould also scored.

Flash 7, Litchfield 1 – Kristy Papaj scored two goals while Tressa Scott, Brittany Tolla, Meaghan Harkins, Kelsey Karp and Katie Yakush scored one goal each.

Boys U11

Cobras 7, Redding 0 – Connor Quinn scored two goals and assisted on another while Christian Mather scored a goal and notched an assist to lead the Cobras. Ian Solaski, Danny Bittman, Bick Barreto and Eric Fiore all scored as Noah Sock and Andrew Kelley were unstoppable on D. Sean Elliot and Robert Willis secured the net.

Cobras 2, Shepaug 2 – Nick Gerbo and Chris Erikson scored a goal each and Connor Quinn provided an assist as the Cobras drew Shepaug. Sam Langdon, Stephen Conway and Ian Solaski had good offensive games while Pieter Martino, Patrick Thornberg and Matt Rahtelli anchored the defense.

Cobras 3, Westport White 0 (State Cup) – Nick Barreto scored three goals to lead the Cobras to a State Cup win. Andrew Kelley, Matt Rahtelli, Noah Sock and Pieter Martino limited Westport to two shots on goal. Nick Gerbo and Robert Willis controlled the midfield.

IN-HOUSE

Girls U14

Hurricanes 1, Hyper Hippos 1 – Lauren Hutchison of the ‘Canes and Kayla Buckley of the Hippos scored the lone goals in a 1-1 draw. For the ‘Canes, Samantha Whitley had the assist while Emily Ashbolt and Courtney Berko played well. For the Hippos, Jillian Thompson notched the assist as Mallory Reilly and Katie Howell played well.

The Unknown 3, Danbury 0 – Audra Sarna scored twice and Kayla O’Leary added a solo as the Unknown notched the shutout. Katie Shirley and Abby Blakeman were great goal and at midfield and Alexandra Duris and Leslie Blume had strong games.

Boys U14

Flying Chipmunks 4, Wildfire 2 – Timothy Bock and Max Eckert had excellent games on both sides of the ball to lead the Chipmunks Chris Winters was awesome in goal and in multi-kid collisions. Mat Hoffman and Thomas Capazziello were relentless on offense. For the ‘Fire, Jordan Mathurin scored twice as Patrick Shirley, Nathaniel Burns, Chris Arnone and Vinnie Brophy had great games.

Clash 1, Knights 0 –  Christian Gregoire scored with two minutes left to lift the Clash to the win. Austin Jones provided the assist as Zach Bennett and Doug Brede led the D. For the Knights, Matthew Williams and Brian White had good games on defense as Kevin Dill was solid in the goal.

Girls U10

Ligers 5, Shockers 1 – Lyndsey Pearlman scored two goals while Meaghan Brophy, Hope McMorran and Patricia Sullivan each followed with goals of their own to lead the Ligers. Siena Cicarelli’s midfield playing was outstanding. For the Shockers, Claire Miles scored the lone goal while Alanna Fridfertig, Bonnie Buchetto, and Renee Henriques played well overall.

Boys U10

Strikers 2, Gators 1 – Drew Sullivan and Luca Imbimbo scored one goal apiece to lift the Strikers to victory. Justin Weiner played a strong game in the net with strong defensive help from Matthew Gonzalez. For the Gators, Dan Olszewski capped a great game on the wing with a goal. Luca Weibel contributed with his play at midfield. Cameron Weibel and Eric Pisani combined to keep the score close with great defensive moves.

Girls U8

Golden Stars 2, Fireballs 1 – Julia Rist and Emma Burns scored for the Stars to notch the win in a close game. Amanda Martinez, Sarah Lyon, Molly Begg and Catherine McHugh had great games. For the Fireballs, Genny Denault scored while Katerina Ringes played great at midfield, Chloe Amante was strong at forward and Leah Bromberg was a stalwart at defense.

Boys U8

Fierce Jaguars 2, Badgers 2 – Paul O’Leary and Janie Cochrane both tallied goals and displayed sharp passing to lead the Fierce Jaguars in a 2-2 draw with the Badgers. Owen Richards helped out with a strong defensive performance. For the Badgers, Liam McNichols and Max Galassi accounted for the two goals. Richard Ciamarra kept things close with great play in the goal with defensive help from Cary DeYoung.

Bulldogs 6, Destroyers 3 – Clay Gattey scored five goals to lead the Bulldogs to the win. Nathan Horvath also scored while Sam Duffy provided an assist. Hayes Kelchner was strong in goal. For the Destroyers, Matthew Maturo scored two goals and Nick Cirone added a solo. Clark Giles and Matthew Kretz played well.

Bulldogs 2, Blue Dragons 0 – Clay Gattey scored two goals as the Bulldogs captured the win. Justin Oelberg made some great saves in goal, Michael Berko played well on offense and Gabriel Barrett notched an assist. For the Blue Dragons, Anthony Crisalli played well all around as Austin LeBlanc was solid on offense and Zachary Weiland anchored the D.

Huskies 1, Vikings 1 – Cole Rogalin of the Huskies and John Carlson of the Vikings scored the lone goals in the 1-1 draw. For the Huskies,Declan Sullivan controlled the midfield and Alex Gerbo and Connor Flint played excellent defense. For the Vikings, Sawyer Conrad and James Carney played strong midfield games and Michael Cloonan anchored the defense.
