Residents Sought For Commission Posts
First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several opening on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.
Current openings exist on:
*The Conservation Commission has a vacant positions available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
*The Hattertown Historic District has an alternate position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter
*The Inland Wetlands Commission has a vacant position available to either a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
*Parks & Recreation has a vacant position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter. The last day to express interest is June 16 with an anticipated appointment date of July 7.
*The Design Advisory Board has one full board position available to any registered voter and one alternate position available to any registered voter (but no more than one of the same party)
*The Economic Development Commission has a vacant position available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.
