Watercolor Program At Meeting House

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) invites the public to a demonstration meeting the featuring internationally-known artist Don Andrews, who will paint a figure in watercolor on Wednesday, May 26, at 1:30 pm. The program will be at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole).

Mr Andrews is an active SCAN member and past board member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS). His paintings have received numerous awards in national watercolor competitions, including three awards from AWS.

Mr Andrews is author of Interpreting the Figure in Watercolor as well as the video Making Watercolor Glow. His latest book is Interpreting the Landscape in Watercolor. In addition, he is featured in the Watson Guptill publication Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Watercolor, and has had numerous articles in American Artist magazine, as well as the watercolor issue of that journal.
