First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several openings on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.

Current openings exist on:

*The Conservation Commission, with one vacancy for a Democrat or unaffiliated voter and one open position  available to any registered voter;

*The Hattertown Historic District, with one alternate position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter;

*Board of Ethics, with one  position available to Democrat or unaffiliated voter;

*Commission on Aging, with an alternate position available to a Republican, Democrat or unaffiliated voter;

*Sustainable Energy Commission, with one position open to any registered voter;

*The Pension Committee, with one vacant position open to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter (Note the last day to express interest is June 1); and

*Library Board of Trustees, with one vacant position available to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter.
