Dorothy Irene Quimby Corris

Loving Mother, Grandmother, And Friend

Dorothy Irene Quimby Corris, 90, of Shelton, formerly of Stratford, widow of Sidney (Sid) Corris, died May 15. Born in Bridgeport, she was a lifelong Stratford resident before moving to Shelton two years ago.

Survivors are her four devoted children, including Barbara Tabaka and her husband, Robert, of Newtown; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs Corris was a banker with State National Bank until her retirement. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Stratford and was the former sexton with her late husband. She was an avid gardener and reader.

Memorial services were held May 20. Entombment was in Union Cemetery Columbarium, Stratford.

Donations in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, 2301 Main Street, Stratford.
