We thank Reverend Dr Gregory Wismar and the church’s congregation for their very gracious welcome and use of their excellent venue. We thank David Jurman, who, in his debut as a director, created a dynamic and challenging program, and our accompanist Susan Anthony-Klein, whose excellent expertise and talent was complemented by her good humor.

We would like to thank Nancy Crevier and The Newtown Bee for their continued support.

Our ticket takers Ellen McMahon and her daughter, Sara, did great work for us once again and we thank our page-turner Michael Tuccio. Miracle Graphics of Bethel contributed tremendously in printing our program.

Thanks also go to Charles and Deborra Zukowski for welcoming the choir so graciously at our after concert get-together. Deborra added even more to the concert with her flute accompaniment to two of our pieces.

Finally, we must thank my husband, Kenneth. As usual, Kenneth lent his computer expertise and his patience wherever it was needed.

The Newtown Choral Society, which is in its 22nd year, will begin rehearsals for its winter concert in September. We are a nonaudition choir and welcome new members from all area towns and have openings in all voices. If it is your time to raise your voice in song in a supportive environment, contact me at 426-3769 or lel-choir@se-ltd.com if you would like to discuss joining the Newtown Choral Society. We perform two concerts a year, sing at local events and weddings, and practice Wednesday evenings at the Newtown Middle School.
