Charity Baseball Game To Benefit Regional Hospice And Home Care
The KIDO (Kids In Deed Organization) and the Fairfield County Captains (14U travel baseball) are joining forces by hosting a charity baseball game at High Meadow Field on Tuesday, May 27, at 6:30 pm.
KIDO is a group of seven Newtown eighth graders who started their fundraising after the Sandy Hook tragedy to help those in need of counseling and has pledged to raise $50,000 to pay for the playground equipment that will be placed outside the Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut’s wing that houses Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children and Families. KIDO has already raised $34,000.
The public is invited to help KIDO reach its goal by attending the game and participating in 50/50 raffles, a chance to win fun prizes, and more.
