Girls U13

Roadrunners 1, Southbury 1 – Kaitlin Brophy scored the lone goal off a great cross from Becca Castegner to lead the Roadrunners to the win. Sarah Murtha and Emma Kingsley played great at midfield while Kelly O’Connor was outstanding on defense.

Boys U13

Westport 4, Strikers 3 (State Cup) – Rockwell Anyoha scored a pair of goals and Dakota Voliotes added one but the Strikers fell to Westport in the third round of the state cup action. Kyle Moore delivered two assists. George Delia and Daniel Hufziger helped power the offense while Steven Zarifis played well. Kyle Wildman did an outstanding job in the goal.

Boys U12

Force 5, Sherman 1 – John Imbimbo scored two goals and Travis LeBlanc, Joe van Veen and Chad Cullens added one apiece to lead the Force to the win over Sherman. Chris McGowan had two assists while Imbimbo and LeBlanc each provided one. Tommy Stewart and Austin Puleri had great games in the midfield and Josh Gilbert anchored the defense.

Girls U11

South Windsor 1, Flash 0 (State Cup) – The Flash dropped a Connecticut Cup decision against South Windsor.

Newtown 7, New Fairfield 1 – Melissa Buccino and Brittany Tolla scored two goals apiece while Stephanie Roman, Katie Yakush and Kelsey Karp added one apiece to lead Newtown to the win.

Boys U11

Cobras 6, Brookfield 1 – Nick Barreto and Connor Quinn had two goals a piece while Chris Erikson and Sean Elliot added solo goals to lead the Cobras. Christian Mather and Andrew Kelley had assists.

Cobras 5, New Hartford 1 – Christian Mather led the way with two goals as Patrick Thornberg, (assisted by Sam Langdon), and Matt Rahtelli scored with great shots from outside the box. Nick Barreto added one as well. Nick Gerbo, Eric Fiore and Ian Solaski controlled the midfield.

Westport Blue 4, Cobras 3 (State Cup - 2 OT) – Connor Quinn scored all three goals and was assisted on one by Chris Erikson in a heartbreaking overtime loss. Dan Bittman, Stephen Conway and Christian Mather played well offensively as Patrick Thornberg powered the D.

Boys U10

Newtown FC 3, New Fairfield 3 – Jacob Moore scored twice and Logan Puleri added one to lift the Newtown FC to a draw. Doug Miller and Puleri provided assists. Brandon Marks controlled the midfield as Matt Baldino and Jonah Muniz anchored the defense.

Brookfield 1, Newtown FC 0 – Gabe Keogler and Matt Rosa controlled the midfield while Andrew Martinez powered the offense but the Newtown FC fell to Brookfield. Charlie Helgren and Sam Boland were strong on defense and Phillip Healy played well.

Boys U14

The Clash 3, Wildfire 2 – Austin Jones scored two goals and assisted on another to lead The Clash to the win. Steven Forgione added a goal. James Holcomb and Miles Dobbrow had assists while Alex Woloszynski held the midfield. Christian Gregoire and Andrew Bonvini delivered solid goalkeeping throughout the night. For the ‘Fire, Jordan Mothurin and Mike Terloga each had goals as Nat Burns, Ivan Hutchinson, and Paolo Moscovici all played excellent games.

Girls U14

Hurricanes 3, The Unknown 0 – Meredith LaPerch, Lauren Hutchison and Courtney Berko scored one goal each and Samantha Whitley added an assist to lead the ‘Canes to the win. For The Unknown, Grace McKinley, Jen Smith, Quincy DeYoung and goalies Katie Burns and Alex Duris played well.

Sharpshooters 2, Turf Trashers 2 – Kateleen Foy and Jessica Balsano scored on assists by Lauren Meyers and Sarah McMahon to lead the Sharpshooters. For the Trashers, Katlyn Connely scored two goals with assistance from Dana Bouers and Randy Jackson. Meagan Condon playing well in goal.

Girls U10

Shockers 2, Bulldogs 0 – Emily Papp and Alanna Fridfertig scored goals and Leonie Schmitt played well both ways to lead the Shockers. Emily Peters and Courtney Campbell played well defensively. For the ‘Dogs, Hayley Dunn and Hayley Naphen played well offensively as Rachel Karnoff, Abby Hungaski and Sarah Hasselberger anchored the defense.

Raging Fire 4, Funky Monkeys 1 – Lindsey Jossick scored three goals and Maddy Good added another to lead the Raging Fire to the win. Aileen Sheluck played well on D. For the Monkeys, Jillian Ciamarra scored the goal as Meagan Foy and Olivia Sergiovanni were solid in the net and Kristie VosWinkel played a nice all-around game.

Ligers 4, Funky Monkey 3 – Lindsey Pearlman scored three goals and Sally Martinelli scored once to lead the Ligers. Mylis Post played superb as a middie as Kacey Caplan and Nicole Mendonca played great defense. For the Monkey, Amy Martin scored two goals and Kerry Scallon added one as Jennifer Indelicato, Aspen Kraushaar and Ashley Maturo provided strong offensive support.

Girls U8

Munchkins 3, Hurricanes 2 – Amy Martinelli scored three goals to power the Munchkins. Avery Higham played great on offense while Emily Campbell and Annie Hoffman played well on defense. Both Hurricanes goals were scored by Raquel Crespo. Megan Olszsewski, Emma DeFlumeri and Kathryn Blanco played well for the Hurricanes.

Huskies 5, Munchkins 2 – Sarah Lynch, Kate Haggerty and Meghan Grimes scored for the Huskies and Julia Wiberg played a strong game.

Cheetah Champions 3, Mustangs 1 – Anna Biondi scored two goals and Cassie Fischer added one to lift the Cheetah Champions to the win. Goalie Caroline Keane and Stefanie Carr sparkled on defense. Stephanie Devaney scored the only goal for the Mustangs with the help of Julia Scarangella. Hannah Schneiderman had a good game in goal.

Lady Hawks 4, All Stars 0 – Megan Milano and Kailee Dunnigan each scored two goals while Brianna MacDonald, Rachel Lorenc and Meg Korchman played great all around for the Hawks. For the All Stars, Clare Boyle and Shelby Tolla played well on offense as Emily Charash and goalie Maddie Bridges anchored the D.

U6

Panthers 5, Team (#10) 1 – Jessica Maturo scored a pair of goals as Matthew Guinee, Evan Eggleston and Connery Mayer each added a goal to lead the Panthers. Lauren Granville played great on defense.
