Bake And Tag Sale To Benefit

A Will’s Road neighborhood Bake and Tag Sale is planned for Saturday, May 29, to raise funds for Jordan Cicchesi and his family during an upcoming trip to Arizona for brain surgery. Jordan is the son of David Cicchesi and Dawn Stevens. He and his father are living with his grandparents Mary and Mike Piccione of Will’s Road.

Jordan, 5, suffers from a seizure-inducing illness known as hypothalamic hamartoma. It is hoped that removal of a tumor pressing on his brain will alleviate this symptoms. The surgery set to take place June 14 will be performed at the Barrow Neurological Institute, St Joseph’s Hospital, Phoenix. It will be paid for by insurance, but funds are needed for the family to travel to Arizona and stay through Jordan’s postoperative treatment.

The neighborhood Bake and Tag Sale will be from 9 am to 3 pm, and any Newtown resident who wants to donate food or items for the sale may drop them at 10 Willis Road on Friday, May 28.
