To the Editor:

A rare F5 tornado leaves a 14-mile path of destruction in a populated area. Twenty-four dead. We are doing something right: early warning systems and education, and more.

A disturbed young man walks into a school with a semi-automatic weapon. Twenty-six dead. When will we be able to say "We are doing something right"? My heart goes out to all 50 families.
