Harry W. Robertson, Jr, 84, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Newtown, died May 26. He was born in Somerset, Penn., on February 26, 1925, to Lavina C. Robertson and Harry W. Robertson, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Edna M. (Novison) Robertson; two sons; a daughter; five grandchildren; and several other relatives.
Mr Robertson served in the United States Navy with honor during World War II aboard the USS Jenkins and USS Philips. He graduated from Michigan State University and the Detroit College of Law. He had a successful business career that started in Detroit with General Motors and ended in an early retirement as president of Qualitron Corporation in Danbury. He spent 15 years in Newtown when he joined Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Connecticut.
He was a wonderful father and will be missed greatly by all those who had the pleasure to know him.
A memorial service was held May 29.
Memorial donations may be given in honor of his wife, Edna, to the Alzheimerâs Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago IL 60601-7633.
