Senior Blue
Newtown 5, Darien Blue 5 â Erin Brown, Meghan Carney, Caroline Lawrence, Nicole Gindraux and Chelsea Boggs anchored the defense in a strong effort against Darien. Meghan Rockwell was strong in the goal with seven saves. Emma Kingsley, Lauren Meyer, Evelyn Fahey and Jenna Ebert led the offense.
Southbury 4, Newtown 3 â In hard fought back and forth game, the Senior Blue dropped a close one to Southbury. Meghan Carney and Sarah Attanasio hustled up six ground balls apiece as Jenna Ebert led the team in interceptions. Erin Brown and Maggie Atkinson led the team in assists as Evelyn Fahey, Attanasio and Carney provided he offense. Meghan Rockwell was strong in the goal with five saves.
Senior Gold
Newtown 14, Brookfield 4 â Playing their seventh game in five days, the Senior Gold sucked it up and pulled away in the second half against an inspired Brookfield team. Lisa Vendel and Meghan Gibbons picked up four ground balls each as keeper Jill Jagoe made five saves. Kaitlin Brophy, Vendel, Meghan Bridges, Annie Fletcher, Kaley Kruger, Brittany Wiberg and Nicolle Waterhouse powered the offense.
Junior Gold
Newtown 12, Stratford 3 â Stephanie Perrotti, Mary Oliver, Kaitlin VosWinkle, Megan Knox, Alex Klein and Molly Mahony each recorded multiple assists in a win over Stratford. During the game, Paige Murphy defenseman scored her first goal. Goaltenders Elizabeth Eiseman and Rachel Hyland played well.
Newtown 14, Bethel 8 â Molly Mahony scored four goals while Alex Klein and Megan Knox tallied three apiece to lead Newtown past Bethel. Maddy Keane added a pair of goals and Rachel Wiberg notched one. Emma Glasrud made seven saves in the cage.

Senior White
Newtown 10, RELax 3 â Connor Byrne had three goals and one assist as Newtown won its seventh straight game. CJ Ryan scored two goals and had three assists while Will Northrop had three goals and one assist and Sean Maher and Mike Zaccaro each scored one goal. Brandon Body had 18 saves in a dominant performance between the pipes while defenders Max Nacewicz and Dave Kreshpan kept the RELax attack under control.
Newtown 12, Bethel âAâ 2 â Tim Dalton scored four goals and Dylan Huebner scored a goal, assisted on another, had 10 ground balls and won six faceoffs as Newtown overcame a sluggish first half to hammer Bethelâs Senior âAâ team at Treadwell Park. Ben Mahony had three goals and five ground balls and Cam Gehrman scored two goals. Andrew Golankiewicz had two assists and Kyle Vignone and Kyle OâConnor each scored a goal while Max Paynter returned to the lineup after missing seven games and notched an assist. Newtown outshot Bethel, 54-7, and also took the edge in ground balls by a margin of 50-22.
