“Newtown — A Floral Heritage: A Standard Flower Show,” 6–9 pm, Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street, free standard flower show created and presented by The Town & Country Garden Club of Newtown will include decorative and educational exhibits with some emphasis on town’s 300th anniversary celebration, show continues on June 11.

“The Romantic Piano: A June Afternoon Recital of Great Piano Classics,” 3 pm, St Rose Church, 46 Church Hill Road, freewill offerings will benefit choir’s summer pilgrimage to Italy, performance by Joseph Jacovino, Jr on church’s Yamaha grand piano will include works of Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Saint-Seans, et al;  426-4014.
