Saint Steve
Saint Steve
To the Editor:
While in rehab from a serious fall, my senior citizen friend told me the water pressure in her house was low. She said she had contacted her friend âSteve,â but with the fall and everything, had simply forgotten about it. I went to her home to check. It wasnât âlow pressure,â it was âno pressureâ and an expense she could likely ill afford. I didnât know who âSteveâ was, but fortunately his business card was slid into the screen door. I called and we agreed to meet at the house.
A quick examination indicated a below ground problem and even I could see the inside electrical needed to be replaced. I asked him when he could do it? He replied, âIâm not a plumber, just the owner of a pump company who had kept in touch with her over the years.â But he did arrange for an industrial plumber to do the job â two gentlemen from Milford and they spent six hours at the house installing a high-end pump, all new wiring above and below ground and all at Steveâs expense.
So although I had not previously known Steve Montgomery, president of Winpump in Waterbury, I now know this man is a Saint sent from Heaven who helped a senior citizen in her greatest time of need.
Sincerely,
Mark Dennen
