La Leche League Meets June 20

“The Father and Siblings of the Breastfed Baby” will be the topic when La Leche League of Newtown meets on Tuesday, June 20, at 9:45 am. The meeting will focus on ways the father can facilitate breastfeeding and on the adjustment of other children both before the birth and after.

La Leche League is an international nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to attend the monthly Group Meetings or call a Leader for breastfeeding help.

Attending La Leche League meetings can help women learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings, mothers share not only their questions and concerns but also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. Babies and toddlers are welcome, and mothers-to-be are especially encouraged to attend.
