Save Sewer Capacity
Save Sewer Capacity
To the Editor,
We built a sewer system in town to address problems of failed septic systems first and to provide septic capacity for some economic development to diversify our tax base. Any additional hookup to the sewer system should be for commercial, industrial, or municipal development, and certainly not additional residential development. That should be made clear now to all builders who are thinking cluster housing, apartments, and other high density living space.
Save the excess capacity for good commercial investment. We donât want to be looking at expanding the sewer system in a few years for such purposes by having given away the capacity to more residential use.
