Appreciation Day And Luncheon
DANBURY â Danbury Hospitalâs Senior Physician Group recently sponsored the Hospitalâs First Physicians Appreciation Day and a Retired Physicians Luncheon in recognition of National Doctors Day. Fifty guests enjoyed the luncheon, which included a clinical education program about the hospitalâs vascular services presented by Newtown resident Patrick Malloy, MD, chairman of the Department of Radiology, and Alan Dietzek, MD, chief of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery.
The luncheon was the first event to take place in the Fitzgerald/Merrill Lynch Courtyard of the Praxair Canter Center, giving the retired physicians an opportunity to see the new facility.
This First Physicians Appreciation Day was one of the initial events supported by the hospitalâs newly organized Senior Physicians Group, a group of physicians who have had a long association with Danbury Hospital. Former president of the medical staff Robert S. Grossman, MD, also of Newtown, chairs the group, which includes eight doctors.
