Trinity Church Organ Scholar To Perform Spring Recital
Trinity Episcopal Church is proud to announce a recital by its 2024–25 Organ Scholar, Elijah Morris, on Sunday, June 22, at 3 pm.
The concert will take place at the church, located at 36 Main Street — the stone church at the flagpole.
An accomplished young musician, Morris has just completed his freshman year at Trinity College, where he also served as Assistant Chapel Organist during the academic year.
His recital program will feature an exciting and diverse range of organ works by Bach, Widor, Vierne, Hindemith, Messiaen, Alain, and Howells, showcasing the versatility and grandeur of the widely esteemed Austin Pipe Organ at Trinity Episcopal Church, with its 2,369 pipes and 43 ranks. The instrument is the fourth Trinity organ since 1870 and by far the most tonally beautiful.
Admission is free, and all are warmly invited to attend. Whether a longtime classical music lover or simply curious about the power and beauty of the pipe organ, the performance will be enjoyable for all.
