William J. Martino, 62, of Torrington, died June 8, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 20, 1948, the son of Alice (Chieffo) and Frank P. Martino.

Mr Martino is survived by his wife, Donna; three siblings including Ann Marie Martino, and her husband, Robert, of Newtown; three children; a sister-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and his furry best buddy.

He retired in 1992 from Apexl Engineering in Farmington. He was the former owner of Wil-Mar Consulting, LLC and SoMac of Connecticut. He was a Reiki practitioner and a devoted advocate for The Alternative War on Cancer. He will be missed by those he served so well.

Mr Martino also loved nature, fishing, and the violin.

A memorial service was held June 15. Private burial will be at a later date at Mt Eden, Hawthorne, N.Y.
