It’s Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month

The Animal Center joins animal shelters and rescue groups around the country in celebration of Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month in June.

Adopting from The Animal Center offers a number of benefits included in your new cat’s adoption fee: a veterinary exam, neutering, testing for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, age-appropriate vaccines and treatment of internal/external parasites.

The Center’s locally-based team is always on hand to answer any questions you may have about your cat after he or she has been adopted. Local residents who adopt during the month of June will also receive starter kits for their adopted animals that include information on cat and kitten care, food samples, toys and a litter box scoop.

If you can’t adopt but wish to help homeless kittens, The Animal Center is holding its annual Kitten Fundraising Drive. Tax-deductible donations of any amount can be mailed to The Animal Center, attention: Kitten Fundraising Drive, PO Box 475, Newtown, CT 06470.
